The 10 Reasons Why My Ranch Bucket Hat is My Go To

The 10 Reasons Why My Ranch Bucket Hat is My Go To

  • Bad Hair Days

A consistent struggle for a curly haired blonde like myself are bad hair days, but my Ranch Bucket does a pretty good job at concealing these rough days.

  • Laid Back

The vibe these hats give off just seem more relaxed that other accessories I possess. It just feels natural to throw it on and go.

  • Good Colors

There are multiple different colors, and NUETRALS which are my main desire because the more neutral the more often I can wear it with different outfits. I really like my orange one because it really brightens up my duller outfits.

  • Not Many People Have Them

I have never seen another product like them and it makes me feel special and unique when I am wearing it. Everyone wants to be the trendsetter that other people beg to borrow from, these are one of those staple items that everyone wants to snatch.

  • The Pictures

The pictures on the front all have a story. They are all from breathtaking places in the world and really bring the whole hat together. Not just another baseball cap.

  • My Boyfriend Loves Them

He is consistently stealing them from me, so he ends up wearing them more than I even do. They are gender universal! I wear the same hats he does and they do not look weird at all. There is not a specific style type to the hats which makes them more appealing to male or female.

  • Conversation Starters

The name and pictures are conversation starters and lead to a really fascinating conversation about my favorite topic… my job!

  • Environmental Purposes

Like I have said in past posts, they are made with all repurposed material and are ecofriendly!

  • Personal

There is always the option to create my own which makes it special and more personal to you and is great for gifts. If you contact our company we can arrange a hat the way you would like.

  • The People

The people behind this product are just so incredible and I love being a part of the Brand and supporting them.

Review: The Bikini Bar

Review: The Bikini Bar

Okay, if you are a girl that wears a bikini, then I am 99.9% sure you have seen the oh so cute nylon bikinis with the crochet edges (I will leave a picture below). I personally have always loved this particular swimsuit style. It comes in a variation of colors and various vendors, but I was never able to pull the trigger on a purchase. This is mainly because I have friends with this suit and the nylon portion was stiff making it very difficult to wear, and the more comfortable the material becomes, the higher up the price went. Well ladies, look no further, I have found the perfect crochet nylon bikini for you. I went to the Byron Markets this month in Byron Bay Australia, and one of the stands was for The Bikini Bar. These bikinis are handmade, which I think was what made the difference in material, fit, and quality for me. They have a variety of colors and when you look at their website, endless styles too not just the crotchet ones I had been on the hunt for. I have worn mine to the beach four times now and its holding up great and the quality it still up to par. The nylon does not fold or crinkle in weird places, and the crochet is elastic making it comfy to wear and stretchy with tons of give. It is a lot better feeling than the strings on bikinis because I know for myself personally when I tie bikinis it sometimes rubs the back of my neck in an irritating way, but no strings on this bikini leads to a comfy wear for an all-day excursion to the beach. Also, these bikinis are echo friendly! Such an important topic to me especially when it comes to island style and marine life.  I would absolutely buy again from this home run business and as you all know since I work for a handmade hat company, Ranch Bucket Brands, I love supporting the handmade and organic product community! I will leave all The Bikini Bars information below and you can see for yourselves!

Review: Emerald Pools and Optical Point Zion National Park Utah

Review: Emerald Pools and Optical Point Zion National Park Utah

Emerald Pools

This was my first hike in Zion and it was the perfect starter. This hike is completely doable for all ages as long as you take it at the pace that your body requires. There was a lot of intriguing nature aspects and more than enough to look at. Emerald Pools is not a hike that is purely for exercise but is more of an experience, and absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is something out of a storybook. There is a lot of water, which for me, are the hikes I am drawn to. The time of year I went, (June) was so green and lush against beautiful reddish rocks creating a contrast that is just striking.  My big disclaimer is GO EARLY. It is a very popular hike because of its beauty and lack of complexity, so around eight when the park begins to get super crowded this hike is a hotspot. We got up and went into the park as early as we could, which was about six in the morning and the crowds were already starting to become overwhelming on our trek back down. Besides the crowds there are not many negatives to this hike. Although there is a lot of sand instead of rock that you are walking on so sand may fill your shoes but all in all this was a great starter hike for my day.

Optical Point

Now this one is more difficult. Optical Point leads you to the highest point in the park. This hike is very steep and it gets your blood pumping with the incline it possesses right off the bat. Another unique aspect Optical Point has to offer are switchbacks that resemble Angels Landing, which I have written about before,

https://ranchbucket.blog/2017/06/14/the-thing-about-angels-landing/

but with less of an incline and more spread out. Up through these switchbacks, you get a beautiful view of the whole park, I found the going up to be slightly boring until you look out at the view and cross behind back into the rocks more which is not until further along the hike. Once you get past this part you get to the more exciting side where you can explore a little. There are caves and crevice’s that are hidden through the backside of this hike. There is a whole canyon to wander through with water ways and sand. It truly is a dynamic place unlike any other. We ventured off the trail to check out some of these cool cracks and hidden treasures in the mountains topography. I was in complete awe. This hike can get crowded but it is not quite as popular as the Narrows, so I would suggest this one over that for the purpose of less population. One of my favorite parts about Zion in general are those beautiful red rocks. We stopped for lunch in some of these cool caverns on the hike and I was just engulfed by so many natural colors it was overwhelming. If you are in relatively good shape I would definitely suggest this hike as well.

Happy Exploring!

Things I Am Addicted To

Things I Am Addicted To
  1. My Hydro Flask

If you do not already have one I highly suggest getting one. Not only do they come in a multitude of bright fun colors, but they keep my water cold for days literally DAYSSSSS. I have the large turquoise one. It has a sticker with my initials on it, front and center so no one can confuse my precious water bottle as their own. It goes everywhere with me too. Just ask anyone of my friends; the beach, the movie theater, it has been on a night out too… My number one recommended product.

  1. Egg Sandwiches on English Muffins

I find myself eating these all the time any time of the day. You can cook your egg however you prefer, but my preference is scrambled with a little bit of cheese in them. The brand of English Muffins I have found to be my favorite are Thomas Original Nooks & Crannies English Muffins, but I know they have some really good gluten free ones out there too if that is a concern for you. All in all, not too shabby of a meal to be addicted to.

  1. Hats and Sunglasses

I have crazy obnoxious hair that is super curly and thick, so I am consistently using sunglasses, not to wear, but to hold my hair back and hats. As most of you by now know if you’ve kept up with my page, I am the VP of International Sales for a hat company called Ranch Bucket, so this has worked out in my favor when it comes to the messy hair department. I have a hat in every color so there is no outfit clashing, and they are all so trendy looking so if I still want to wear something cute but not do my hair it all flows together.

  1. Mac Highlighter

Specifically, Lightscapade #936. It is the only one I will buy when it comes to highlighter. Normally I try not to spend too much money on makeup but this is one of my splurge items. If you like this product as much as I do, I would also recommend Mac blush Just a Wisp #84 or Laura Geller New York Pink Buttercream #2256 which has a little darker and more bronzed outcome. As far as mascara and lips, I like my basic waterproof Loréal Paris mascara in Carbon Black #395 and for lips I have got a variety in the works, but when it comes to wanting it to last surprisingly enough the cream lip stain at Victoria Secret has done incredible work for me. It is called Velvet Matte and is usually up front by the cash registers. On top of that I do my Too Faced lip injection lip gloss.

  1. My Laptop

I honestly cannot sit in class without my laptop. I would probably leave a class rather than be there without my laptop. I need to be able to do something to keep my mind from wandering so my laptop is a must for notes and googling answers that the lecturer breezed through to quickly for me to copy down.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

This is something people supposedly swear by when it comes to losing weight. For me, I just like the kick it gives to my metabolism and it gets it moving for the day. Now I do not know if it is actually doing anything weight loss wise for me personally, but I like to think it is just keeping everything running smoothly internally! I usually have a small portion of it before lunch and dinner at least four times a week. It is really good for your skin and scalp too!

Can get at any grocery store: http://www.ausnaturalcare.com.au/bragg-organic-raw-apple-cider-vinegar-946ml?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIh6b6nuOA1QIVDgoqCh1IDwBNEAAYASAAEgJLU_D_BwE

  1. Getting My Nails Done

Once you get gel regularly it is hard to turn back. You just feel uncomplete without it, basically naked. I used to do some wild stuff with my nails when I was younger and have mellowed but still the addiction stands.

  1. iPhone Case

I have many iPhone cases (including a Lumee… I know) my absolute favorite though is the one I have that holds my credit cards in the back. I often do not want to carry a purse and my phone never leaves my pocket/hand so this has been my saving grace.

Adventures in Byron

Adventures in Byron

My Review on Byron Bay New South Wales Australia:

I got the splendid opportunity this weekend to have a getaway in Byron Bay in New South Wales. I was more than excited (or as the aussies say “keen”) since the girls I am living with currently have been raving about their experience in the bay a couple weeks before. Byron is only an hour and a half drive from where I am currently living, which is basically nothing compared to everywhere else I want to adventure to. We left Gold Coast at about five in the evening on Friday, so we arrived at the hostel we stayed at, Byron Bay Beach Hostel (which should not even be considered a hostel with how nice it was I felt like I was in a hotel) we changed quick and headed out to dinner at Cheeky Monkey Restaurant and Bar. This was a great way to kick off the weekend. They served us dinner and then the cool thing about this place is after dinner they clear the dining area and the tables became a dance floor. I got especially lucky because they were having a special night where it was a paint party! I had a great time at Cheeky and would recommend it to anyone staying in Byron for at least one night out.

I got up the next day, and my luck again, Byron was having a beachfront market that I believe they only do monthly or something along those lines. I explored the market all throughout Saturday morning and even bought the cutest little bikini. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a sucker for festivals and markets. I just love walking around and getting the authentic food while supporting local businesses, coming from my own local business that I work for, Ranch Bucket. I explored Byron a lot on Saturday, got some beach time in, and checked out various shops. I went to two different restaurants on Saturday. For lunch, I went to Slo-Mo Joes and for dinner we went to Main Street Burger. Slo-Mo Joes was just around the corner from our hostel and my friend Veronica and I decided to try it on a whim… I am sure glad I did. Veronica got the most immaculate looking eggs benedict, and I being the child that I am, got mac and cheese. Not just any mac and cheese though, it was topped with bread crust and bacon. This mac and cheese had to be in my top five favorite mac and cheeses – and trust me I have had a lot of mac and cheeses – I would definitely recommend this place for brunch or lunch it’s easy to miss since it is down an alley but they even warmed up their homemade walnut brownies for me and they were impeccable. I also made a stop at Main Street Burgers. The highlight of this for me was the as they call them “chips” which to us American are fries, but these fries had the best seasoning with a mayo garlic sauce on the side. Just talking about them is making me crave them.

If you are looking for more night life besides Cheeky Monkey, Woody’s Surf Shack is my groups personal favorite.  That is where I spent my Saturday night and I have to say the staff was so friendly and all of my friends who tagged along had a blast.

My last day, I got up early in the morning and went ocean kayaking through Go Sea Kayaking, but if you are not into Kayaking there were many other activities like snorkeling and even skydiving, but since I have already been skydiving back home in Colorado, and I am a baby when it comes to cold water, kayaking kept me dry enough. My roommates did snorkel though and saw sooo much wildlife, just freezed their little booty’s off. While kayaking we saw quite a few whales. This is the time they are migrating through this area of Australia to get to warmer water to have their little whale babies. That was super cool to see and learn about! After that I relaxed on the beach a little before heading back to my home away from home. All in all, an incredible weekend well spent in a beautiful place. If any of you have further questions about the trip or Byron leave me a comment or send me a message!
